| The St. Johns County Council on Aging offers a variety of support groups for those dealing with the challenges of providing long-term,
at- home care for a loved one.
   
The Alzheimer's Support Group
meets twice each month:
once on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm
and again on the third Thursday of each month at 1:00 pm.
All meetings are held at the Coastal Community Center, 180 Marine St. in downtown St. Augustine.
The focus of the Alzheimer's Support Group
is to provide a safe and supportive environment for caregivers
in which they may share challenges frustrations, ideas, and solutions
with others facing similar situations.
The group is not limited
to caregivers of those living with Alzheimer's Disease. It is open to anyone caring for a loved one with any long-term illness involving memory loss and/or dementia.
