Where Does Lou Volunteer:

Lou’s main focus is on decorating, which she does often and with her characteristic and very artistic flair! Decorations for the dining room of the Coastal Community Center change frequently – think Mardi Gras, Valentines, Day, St. Patrick’s Day, etc., etc.!. All this keeps Lou extremely busy! Lou also provides over 100 party favors for each festive occasion or special event.

Why is Volunteering Attractive:

Lou began volunteering as a way to do something for someone in need. She enjoys working with the people at COA and finds everyone so appreciative.  Lou summarized her response by saying she “enjoys making seniors smile.”

How Long Has Lou volunteered with the SJCCOA:             

The SJCCOA has been blessed with Lou’s support and friendship for 2 ½ years now.

Background Information:

Lou is originally from Minnesota but has been in St. Augustine for 4 years. Her interests include yoga and crafts and she has made “every stuffed animal possible” for her grandchildren.  Making decorations and favors for COA events allows her to combine her artistic interests and her creative talents with her dedication to volunteer work.  Thanks, Lou...where would we be without YOU/
